Job Description

Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking an Associate to join its Labor and Employment Practice. The role involves providing expertise and support in litigation disputes related to employment processes. The Associate will work closely with senior consultants on project teams, utilizing strong financial, accounting, and economic knowledge, along with research and quantitative skills.

CRA is a global consulting firm that provides economic, financial, and business management expertise to major law firms, corporations, and governments. They advise clients on litigation and regulatory proceedings and guide corporations through critical business strategy and performance issues.

Role Involves:

  • Programming, building models, and performing regression and data analysis in statistical analysis programs (Stata, SAS, or R).
  • Reviewing, processing, and constructing datasets from company time-keeping, applicant tracking, performance, and HRIS data.
  • Performing labor market research to develop an independent fact base.
  • Reviewing and summarizing client documents and third-party research.
  • Participating in analysis design, report preparation, and the presentation of findings.
  • Ensuring reliability of analysis through quality control review.
  • Participating in practice development activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Business Economics, Statistics, or a related analytic discipline.
  • Up to 3 years of relevant work experience (up to 2 years with an earned MS) building and using data sets to solve client problems.
  • Solid working knowledge of economic and statistical concepts.
  • Professional experience programming in statistical analysis programs (Stata, SAS, R, or Python).
  • Command of a broad range of research and quantitative analysis skills (including strong Excel skills).
  • Curious and analytic thinking.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
  • Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
