Algo Developer Team Lead

Job Description

Via is seeking an Algo Developer Team Lead to spearhead the development and evolution of its core routing engine. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and refine algorithms that address complex optimization challenges. The Team Lead will ensure the engine's performance at scale, meeting the evolving needs of Via's users.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of Backend engineers.
• Work closely with Product & Algo teams to design and refine routing algorithms.
• Develop, own, and execute the team's roadmap.
• Oversee project objectives to enhance and support the overall product strategy.
• Manage, coach, and foster the growth of the engineering team.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 6+ years of experience with BE software development (e.g. Python, Go, Java).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong background in algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization.
• Experience with routing, pathfinding, and optimization algorithms.
• BSc. in Computer Science / Math or equivalent - Must
