Job Description

Via is seeking a Front-End Engineer to join their London team. This role is pivotal in driving the development of user-facing features that directly impact Via's products and customers. The engineer will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build and enhance front-end tools, ensuring an elevated user experience.

The Front-End Engineer will focus on creating seamless, intuitive interfaces and continuously optimizing existing features to improve usability and drive product success. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of Via's platform and make a tangible difference in how users are served.

What This Role Involves:

  • Designing and implementing user-facing features using React and TypeScript.
  • Integrating the latest third-party libraries to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Writing clean and efficient front-end code for Via’s app.
  • Collaborating with full-stack and back-end engineers, product designers, and product managers.
  • Staying up to date with new technology trends, applications, and protocols.

Who They Are Looking For:

  • BSc. Computer Science or similar.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience with React.
  • Strong knowledge of Typescript/Javascript.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with map applications / GIS related is an advantage.
