Front-End Engineer Team Lead

Job Description

Via is seeking a Front-End Team Lead to join their R&D center in London. The candidate will lead a team of developers, contributing to Via's product using cutting-edge technologies. This role is critical in shaping the future of transportation, impacting tens of thousands of riders daily worldwide. The candidate will be a focal point on front-end architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Implement front-end tools & libraries used in Via Work.
• Lead a group of talented engineers to create visionary UI/UX products.
• Examine, question, and improve processes, consulting and making decisions to move things forward.
• Improve the user experience across Via's platform.

Requirements:

• BSc. Computer Science or similar.
• Proven experience leading a team of people.
• 4+ years of professional experience.
• Experience with React or similar frameworks.
• 3+ years of experience as a Web Application Developer.
• Map-based application development (Mapbox, Google JS SDK, etc.) - Advantage.
• Experience with backend development (Python) - Advantage.
