R&D Team Lead

Via, a company focused on transforming transportation through technology, is seeking an R&D Team Lead. This role is pivotal in leading the development and evolution of Via's core routing engine. The R&D Team Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and refine algorithms, ensuring optimal performance at scale.

What This Role Involves:

• Leading and managing a team of Backend engineers.
• Designing and refining routing algorithms in collaboration with Product & Algo teams.
• Developing and executing the team's roadmap in alignment with company goals.
• Overseeing project objectives to enhance product strategy.
• Managing, coaching, and fostering the growth of the engineering team.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 6+ years of experience with BE software development (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong background in algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization.
• BSc. in Computer Science / Math or equivalent.
