Routing Staff Engineer

Job Description

Via is seeking a Routing Staff Engineer to shape the R&D Group’s technical vision and work on high-impact projects. The engineer will be a pivotal leader, guiding engineers and maintaining technical excellence in navigation engine components.Via is using technology to transform transportation around the world. From changing a single person’s daily commute to reducing humanity’s collective environmental footprint — Via has huge goals.What this role involves:

• Shaping the Group’s technical landscape, driving innovation and technical excellence.
• Influencing the architectural design, making key decisions in how systems are structured.
• Leading complex technical projects, ensuring timely delivery to meet key business objectives.
• Providing technical leadership and expertise, and mentor engineers to reach the highest standards of technical excellence, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Driving system design, architecture, and integration efforts.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Developing high-quality code and participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to standards.
• Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in software development and systems architecture.
• Experienced with cloud infrastructures and building complex solutions in production
• Proven track record of leading and delivering technical excellence.
• Extensive experience in Backend programming with an object-oriented language- Must.
• Experience building Backend services with Python – Advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
