Job Description
Via, a company focused on transforming transportation through technology, is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer. This role is pivotal in shaping the R&D Group's technical vision and working on high-impact projects. The Senior Staff Engineer will guide engineers, maintain technical excellence, and contribute to Via's server software and infrastructure.
Role involves:
- Shaping the Group’s technical landscape and driving innovation.
- Influencing architectural design and making key system decisions.
- Leading complex technical projects to meet business objectives.
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers.
- Driving system design, architecture, and integration efforts.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements.
- Developing high-quality code and participating in code reviews.
- Staying current with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in software development and systems architecture.
- Experience with cloud infrastructures and building complex solutions in production.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering technical excellence.
- Extensive experience in Backend programming with an object-oriented language.
- Experience with Python and Go (Advantage).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
