Senior Full Stack Engineer, Mobile Team

Job Description

Via is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their core R&D center as a founding member of the Mobile team. This role involves designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining new features for Via's mobile BFF and app release infrastructure. The engineer will bridge mobile environments with back ends, contributing to the BFF and other backend systems.Role responsibilities include:

• Implementing microservices from design to production.
• Building solutions to manage mobile app deployments.
• Taking ownership of development, maintenance, testing strategy, design discussions, and operations.
• Participating in all aspects of agile software development.
• Ensuring application performance, uptime, and scale.
• Researching and suggesting new technologies.
• Impacting product development through technical decisions.

Requirements for this position include:

• Minimum of 6 years of full-stack development and databases experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Python, C++, Java, or C#.
• Solid programming foundations in data-structures, multi-threading, OOP, and design patterns.
• Experience developing and scaling highly available, distributed, and large-scale products.
• Experience with SQL/MySQL and low-level performance optimizations.
• Expertise with cloud platforms like AWS and Kubernetes.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a cross-functional, geographically distributed team.
