Paratransit Driver

Job Description

Trinity Metro is seeking a Paratransit Driver to operate accessible vans and provide excellent customer service to riders in the Fort Worth area. This role involves safely transporting elderly and/or persons with disabilities, learning Via operations and safety procedures, and performing vehicle inspections. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of the city, be proficient in English, and be able to operate a wheelchair accessible vehicle safely.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate lift-equipped vehicles.
• Learn Via operations and safety procedures.
• Perform vehicle inspections.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Fort Worth.
• Conversational proficiency in English.
• Ability to operate a wheelchair accessible vehicle safely.
• Ability to assist passengers in wheelchairs (up to 400 pounds).
• Comfort bending down to secure mobility aids.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Pass drug screening, motor vehicle check, and background check.
• At least 25 years old.
