Job Description
Via is seeking a Field Operations Manager to oversee operations in Southern Connecticut (Stamford, New Haven, Norwalk). This role is within Via's Transit-as-a-Service (TaaS) Operations team, where the manager will use Via's technology platform to manage daily operations, drive continuous improvement, and foster growth. This is an in-person position, requiring the candidate to be onsite 4-5 days a week.
What this role involves:
- Ensuring operational excellence and customer experience
- Overseeing operations in person, with possible early mornings or evenings
- Managing driver supply to meet demand
- Prioritizing operational issues and implementing creative solutions
- Responding to driver feedback and customer issues
- Collaborating with a team to scale operational processes
- Analyzing metrics/KPIs to optimize operations
Requirements:
- Socially perceptive and environmentally conscious
- Self-starter with a high level of responsibility
- Driven executor with a track record of hitting KPIs and revenue goals
- Team-focused individual
- Experienced in project management, operational processes, and customer service
- Multi-site management experience is a plus
- Outgoing and sociable leader with professional communication skills
- Fluent in English, additional languages a plus
- Experienced in managing a team is a plus
- Comfortable with ambiguity and adapting to change
- Experienced in managing projects with multiple stakeholders is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus
