Job Description
Sioux Area Metro, South Dakota’s largest transportation provider, is seeking a Utility Worker to maintain SAM's properties. This role involves the upkeep and maintenance of SAM’s properties. On-the-job training will be provided.
What this role involves:
- Cleaning buses, bus shelters, and buildings
- Maintaining buildings and grounds, including general yard work and light building maintenance skills
- Additional responsibilities will be shared during the interview
Requirements:
- Possess basic knowledge of HVAC, carpentry, and plumbing
- Hold a valid SD driver’s license
- Able to obtain a CDL permit
- Able to pass a pre-employment physical
- Pass a drug screening and background check: no felonies, clean MVR, no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions, and no more than 2 speeding tickets
- At least 21 years old
- Able to apply in person at the Sioux Area Metro office
