Job Description

Via is seeking a Commercial Director to lead commercial efforts for strategic public transport accounts in Berlin. The Commercial Director will build an inclusive, sustainable, and tech-enabled framework for mobility within the market. They will identify opportunities, generate new business, and manage all aspects of the sales and account cycle.

Via is using technology to transform transportation around the world. From changing a single person’s daily commute to reducing humanity’s collective environmental footprint — they’ve got huge goals.

What this role involves:

  • Building and leading a high-performing sales and account management team.
  • Strategizing and executing full-cycle sales efforts to improve regional transit.
  • Becoming an expert on Via’s platform and showcasing its features.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operations and offerings.
  • Representing Via in the region through public speaking and press engagement.
  • Identifying and cultivating revenue-generating partnerships.

Requirements:

  • 6–10 years of client-facing experience in Business Development, Consulting, or a similar space.
  • Intuitive communicator with superb commercial intuition.
  • A reliable, motivated self-starter with a passionate growth mentality.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Willingness to travel 25-50% as needed.
  • Can communicate effectively in both German (native-level) and English (fluent)
