Principal Product Manager, ML & Algorithms

Job Description

Via is seeking a Principal Product Manager, ML & Algorithms to lead key product domains within their Algo product team. This individual will be responsible for delivering impactful solutions that revolutionize the transportation industry. Via is using technology to transform transportation around the world.Role involves:

• Owning the end-to-end product lifecycle for algorithms, routing, and machine learning systems.
• Leading product lifecycle from ideation through technical development, to launch.
• Developing short and long-term roadmaps by leveraging customer feedback, data, trends, and strategic initiatives.
• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize impactful features and products.
• Guiding algorithm and development teams to solve complicated problems by integrating with other product managers.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of Product Management experience.
• Experience in algorithms, and/or machine learning based products.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams with excellent communication skills including Algo and Data-science teams.
• Strong technical background, with a scientific degree or equivalent experience in complex algorithm-based products.
• A strong executor with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions.
• A user-centric approach with the ability to blend technical expertise and UX.
• Detail-oriented and thorough with the ability to effectively juggle multiple projects in a highly fluid work environment.
• Thrive in fast-paced environments and balance delivery of MVPs with an unwavering commitment to world-class products.
• A firm believer in a "Data First" philosophy but can also make decisions in ambiguous situations.
