Job Description
DataCamp is seeking a Cloud Curriculum Manager to contribute to its mission of democratizing cloud education. The Cloud Curriculum Manager will work closely with expert instructors and the Cloud Curriculum team to expand DataCamp's cloud content library with new materials. They will contribute to courses, practice pools, and projects, acting as a reviewer, thought partner, and advocate for learners.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, and the ability to influence across functional groups. They will make data-driven decisions and lead complex projects to successful completion. Responsibilities include:
- Developing new and engaging content focused on AWS, Azure, and other cloud technologies.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to add new and creative interactive learning experiences to our cloud content.
- Providing critical feedback on specifications for new courses.
- Writing automated tests in Python to provide personalized feedback for learners.
- Using Looker and SQL to make data-driven suggestions for content improvements based on learner feedback and engagement data.
- Researching, planning, and creating a strategy for new content (courses) to be developed.
- Managing the course development process.
- Working closely with course external instructors to make content interactive and engaging.
- Effectively setting and holding instructors accountable for deliverable deadlines.
Requirements include:
- Strong technical background with experience in cloud technologies like AWS or Azure.
- Technical skills in SQL and/or Python.
- Familiarity with cloud architecture, services, and best practices.
- Has a cloud certification in AWS and/or Azure (preferred, but not required).
- Enjoys working with other people and interacting with subject matter experts.
- Familiarity with interactive technical education platforms like DataCamp or similar providers.
- Able to effectively synthesize, visualize, and communicate ideas to others, including non-technical audiences.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
- Knows when to push back, challenge an idea, seek out compromise, and do so positively for the company's benefit.
