Senior Data Engineer

Job Description

NEORIS, now part of EPAM, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their team in Quito, Ecuador. The company is a Digital Accelerator that helps companies enter the future, with 20 years of experience as Digital Partners of some of the largest companies in the world. The Senior Data Engineer will participate in large-scale data processing and analysis projects, contributing to the development, optimization, and maintenance of data pipelines using optimized SQL and best practices in Spark.

Responsibilities include:

• Actively participating in large-scale data processing and analysis projects.
• Contributing to the development, optimization, and maintenance of data pipelines using optimized SQL and best practices in Spark.
• Integrating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective service integration in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Medallion architecture).
• Supporting the design and development of scalable solutions using Python and SQLSpark.
• Participating in the implementation and monitoring of data integration services.
• Contributing to the design of robust and adaptable data architectures.

Requirements:

• Professional in Systems Engineering or related fields with more than 5 years of experience.
• Solid experience in Python and SQLSpark.
• Knowledge in Pyspark and Pandas for data manipulation.
• Proficiency in SQL with a focus on index optimization and performance.
• Knowledge in data integration services (Integration Services).
• Experience in cloud environments (AWS and Azure), especially with Medallion architecture.
