Kitchen Operations Supervisor

Job Description

CookUnity is seeking a Kitchen Operations Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations in Los Angeles. The Kitchen Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring food safety compliance, team performance, and smooth handoffs between shifts. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with chefs, food safety teams, and operations managers to maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.Responsibilities:

• Open and close kitchen operations.
• Conduct regular safety and supply checks.
• Monitor chef performance and production processes.
• Ensure full compliance with Food Safety Plan requirements.
• Proactively address kitchen operational needs.
• Serve as a key point of contact for Food Safety, Quality Control, and Operations Managers.
• Oversee chef checkout process.
• Monitor chef team shifts.
• Oversee cooking and cooling processes.
• Collaborate with chefs to initiate and manage the cooling process.
• Conduct daily reviews of temperature logs and cooling processes.

Requirements:

• Proficiency with Google apps.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and operational best practices.
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
• Conversational Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in a culinary leadership role.
• Culinary degree or certification is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen management principles.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of food quality and service.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Comfortable using digital kitchen tools and reporting systems.
