Receiving Associate

Job Description

CookUnity is seeking a Receiving Associate to join their team in Chicago, Illinois. CookUnity is a chef-to-consumer platform that connects talented chefs with busy food lovers, elevating the at-home dining experience. The Receiving Associate will be responsible for preparing orders, picking and packing, and ensuring timely completion for delivery drivers.

Responsibilities include:

• Stocking products using FIFO rotation
• Picking product to fulfill orders
• Loading and unloading heavy products
• Organizing the work area and disposing of trash
• Tracking inventory using software
• Assisting chefs and kitchen staff
• Organizing product displays
• Labeling items with prices and stock numbers
• Monitoring merchandise movement
• Counting inventory weekly
• Managing compost and trash disposal
• Maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse, cooler, and freezer following food safety standards

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or GED
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Familiarity with FIFO and food safety regulations
• Reliable with punctual and regular attendance
• Ability to operate a pallet jack (helpful but not required)
• Experience in a food facility (helpful but not required)
• Able to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and carry up to 50 pounds
• Occasional work in a cold refrigerated area (35 degrees)
