Remote is seeking a Managing Counsel, Employment Legal, an individual contributor to join its Legal Team. The company is dedicated to solving the global remote organizations’ challenge, making it possible for businesses to compliantly employ anyone anywhere. The Managing Counsel will deliver pragmatic and innovative legal solutions, protect Remote from unacceptable risk, and ensure the legal soundness of Remote’s business models.

Responsibilities:

  • Advising on a range of employment law across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support internal and external employee matters.
  • Ensure Remote products’ and platform’s compliance with employment laws.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure completion of projects.
  • Contributing to the Legal Team's knowledge and expertise.
  • Master employment law and contracts for particular region.

Requirements:

  • Qualified French lawyer.
  • Experience in advisory and contentious employment law across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Passionate about tech products, especially HR tech.
  • Previous in-house experience in an HR Tech, IT, or SAAS company is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in modern business and legal tools like Slack and Notion.
  • Fluent in English and French.
