Job Description

DEPT® is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented People Specialist to join their dynamic People team. This role is crucial in supporting operational employment law matters, contributing to long-term compliance initiatives, and updating People policies in line with Dept’s vision and local legal requirements. The People Specialist will primarily support the team in the Netherlands but will also contribute to EMEA-wide projects, reporting to the Employment Counsel EMEA and VP of People BENO.

The People Specialist will handle employment law questions, prepare labor law-related documents, support People policies, and assist with global mobility and regulatory compliance. They will also play a role in shaping a positive employee experience, ensuring policies and benefits align with legal standards and employee needs.

This role requires a proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working closely with colleagues in the People team and business leaders.

Role Involves:

• Providing operational support on employment law and compliance topics.
• Supporting compliance related to immigration, work permits, and cross-border employment.
• Assisting in developing and maintaining People policies and procedures.
• Advising and supporting on employee benefits.
• Acting as a link between the regional Employment Law Counsel, the People team, and the business teams.
• Contributing to strengthening company culture.

Requirements:

• Minimum HBO thinking and working level, preferably in a legal discipline.
• Work experience in employment law, preferably within a fast-paced company.
• Knowledge of People policies, procedures, local labor law, and compliance.
• Fresh thinking and energy with a can-do mentality.
• Punctual, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Clear communication and problem-solving skills.
• Mastery of the English language in word and writing.
