Staff Backend Engineer - Grafana App Platform (Remote, EMEA)

Job Description

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to work on the Grafana App Platform. This is a remote position for candidates located in Spain. The engineer will contribute to the evolution of Grafana into a fully multi-tenant and scalable platform suitable for both open-source and proprietary applications.

The Staff Backend Engineer will play a crucial role in refactoring Grafana's core architecture to enhance its simplicity and standardization. They will be responsible for ensuring changes are rolled out safely to avoid service disruptions, given Grafana's extensive user base across various platforms.

Role Involves:

• Coding new features and enhancing the operational experience of systems.
• Authoring, contributing to, and reviewing design documents.
• Shaping the roadmap and mentoring team members.
• Collaborating with different teams across the organization.
• Participating in on-call rotations to ensure customer experience.

Requirements:

• Strong coding skills and operational experience.
• Experience with SaaS platforms and distributed systems problems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to work across teams.
• Pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Familiarity with Golang or eagerness to learn it.
