Staff Backend Engineer - Grafana App Platform (Remote, EMEA)

Job Description

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join their team and work on the Grafana App Platform. This is a remote position based in Sweden. The ideal candidate will have experience with SaaS platforms at scale and be passionate about building a fully multi-tenant and scalable platform for Grafana's Cloud apps. The Staff Backend Engineer will play a key role in refactoring Grafana's core architecture to be simpler and standardized, ensuring changes are rolled out safely to avoid service disruptions.Role involves:

• Coding new features and enhancing the operational experience of systems.
• Authoring and reviewing design documents.
• Shaping the roadmap and mentoring team members.
• Collaborating with different teams across the organization.
• Participating in on-call rotations to ensure customer experience.

Requirements:

• Strong coding skills and operational experience.
• Experience with SaaS platforms and distributed systems problems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to work across teams.
• Pragmatic approach and ability to handle ambiguity.
• Familiarity with Golang or willingness to learn.
