Job Description
Showpad is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to drive innovation and optimize their existing codebase. The engineer will have autonomy and ownership over their work, ensuring well-architected code, test automation, scalability, and monitoring. They will collaborate with product and design teams to plan and develop new features, design architecture, and maintain the team's products. The role involves mentoring and driving the technical skills of the team.

Role Involves:
  • Overseeing and directing projects from scoping to release
  • Contributing to engineering and product strategy
  • Solving complex problems and building performant, scalable services
  • Collaborating with product and design teams
  • Designing and implementing architecture for new features
  • Maintaining the team's products
  • Mentoring and driving technical skills of the team

Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience as a backend engineer
  • Strong experience with Typescript, Golang, PHP, or JVM languages (Kotlin, Scala)
  • Experience designing and implementing APIs
  • Experience in cloud computing
  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
  • Understanding of software testing and test-driven development
  • Continuous integration and delivery mindset
  • Ability to take ownership of projects
