Remote is seeking a Payroll Risk and Compliance Expert for the Eastern European Region. This role involves ensuring payroll compliance with wage tax laws and social security regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll operations and a track record of identifying and mitigating compliance risks.

Role Involves:
  • Conducting risk reviews of payroll files.
  • Identifying and rectifying discrepancies.
  • Preparing audit findings reports.
  • Monitoring regulatory climate.
  • Providing support and training on compliance matters.
  • Working with internal teams to improve the platform.

Requirements:
  • Strong Legislation expertise in the Eastern European region
  • Experience in a senior payroll role within an in-house payroll environment processing payroll or being in an payroll audit, compliance role.
  • Understands the approach taken by local authorities and has proven track record of communicating with authorities to resolve matters.
  • Has had exposure to local authority investigations and audits
  • Experience in making recommendations for process improvements and ensuring that they are implemented
  • Proficiency in data manipulation (eg sql, Excel)
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
  • Is a productivity geek and will constantly think of ways to improve and speed up their work.
  • You understand the need and ideal to work largely asynchronously.
  • Writes and speaks fluent English as well as the local language being recruited for.
