Job Description
Glean is seeking a Senior/Staff Data Scientist to join their Data Organization in Palo Alto. The Data Scientist will collaborate with engineering, product management, and design teams to define and build data assets, measure the performance of AI-powered assistant products, identify opportunities for improvement, and create quantitative frameworks and methodologies. This role involves exploring the intersection of search and generative AI products across various modalities and empowering customers to manage AI agents.
Role Involves:
- Defining and building data assets (KPIs, pipelines, dashboards)
- Measuring the performance of AI-powered assistant products
- Identifying opportunities to improve KPIs
- Creating and maintaining quantitative frameworks and methodologies
Requirements:
- Bachelors/Masters/PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a quantitative field
- 5+ years of industry experience as a data scientist (2 years for PhD holders)
- Strong business sense and experience with product KPIs, dashboarding, and data analysis
- Familiarity with BI visualization tools (Sigma, Metabase, Tableau, Looker)
- Proficiency in SQL and the modern data stack (e.g., dbt pipelines)
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience in writing source-controlled code for pipelines and internal tools
- Strong statistical skills
- Experience in applying skills to improve products and processes using A/B testing
- Concise written and verbal communication skills
