Lead Software Engineer, Data Foundations

Job Description

Glean is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join its Data Foundation Team. The team is responsible for the enterprise data ingestion and management infrastructure that powers Glean’s Search and AI capabilities. The ideal candidate will lead the engineering team in building and enhancing the platform, paving the way for the company's hyper-growth phase.Role involves:

• Leading new product initiatives involving ingesting, understanding, and interacting with enterprise data.
• Scaling robust distributed systems to handle billions of permissions-aware documents in real time.
• Building new systems from the ground up.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams on business-critical projects.
• Working directly with customers.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 2+ years of experience as a technical lead.
• Proven track record of delivering high-scale backend services.
• Experience delivering vertical projects with net new features.
• Experience scaling a system to large numbers of customers/users.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
