Software Engineer, Backend (India)

Job Description

Glean is seeking a Backend/Infrastructure Engineer to contribute to the development of a high-performance, scalable, and secure system. This system aims to provide employees with readily available enterprise knowledge within their work environment. The engineer will have the opportunity to work on various aspects of building a modern cloud-native application stack, utilizing the latest best practices.Role involves:

• Owning impactful infrastructure problems from inception and architecture to production launch.
• Writing well-thought-out design documents and robust, high-quality, and well-tested code.
• Collaborating with a strong team to identify impactful projects.
• Mentoring junior engineers or learning from experienced ones.

Requirements:

• BA/BS in computer science or a related degree.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience working on infrastructure for distributed systems or cloud-native applications.
• Strong coding skills (e.g., Go/Python/Java/C++) with an emphasis on designing for reliability and scale, and writing well-tested components.
• Familiarity with cloud-native development practices in GCP/AWS/Azure is a plus.
• A proactive and positive attitude to lead, learn, troubleshoot and take ownership of both small tasks and large features
