Software Engineer, Fullstack

Job Description

Glean is seeking a creative and skilled Fullstack Software Engineer to contribute to their mission of making knowledge work faster and more humane. The Software Engineer will be responsible for owning and launching delightful user-facing features, working closely with product managers and designers to balance engineering constraints with requirements. This role involves developing intuitive experiences for modern mobile and desktop browsers in a rapidly growing startup environment.Responsibilities:

• Oversee greenfield features from inception to implementation, experimentation, and launch.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to create elegant solutions.
• Architect REST APIs backed by stable, scalable server-side implementations.
• Write robust, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Mentor junior engineers and learn from experienced ones.

Requirements:

• BA/BS in computer science or related degree.
• Experience building and shipping scalable features across frontend and backend.
• Thrive in a customer-focused, tight-knit, and cross-functional environment.
• Proactive and positive attitude to lead, learn, troubleshoot, and take ownership.
• User-centric and empathetic mentality for building products.
• Experience on a consumer-grade web app frontend, preferably React-based.
• Experience authoring REST APIs, OpenAPI is a plus.
• Experience building distributed CRUD level functionality, ideally both SQL and NoSQL.
• Comfortable in or desire to master Golang, Java, and TypeScript.
