Technical Marketing Engineer (Departmental Solutions)

Job Description

Glean is seeking a Technical Marketing Engineer to contribute to its mission of making knowledge work faster and more humane. The company believes in the transformative power of AI and is building a system of intelligence for every company in the world. This role is based 3x a week out of their HQ office in Palo Alto, CA.

The Technical Marketing Engineer will shape Glean's market narrative by demonstrating tangible value to specific departments within customer organizations. This involves understanding generative AI, LLMs, and the broader AI ecosystem, along with hands-on experience in prompt engineering, demo creation, and showcasing agent innovations.

What this role involves:

• Creating example Glean Agents focused on departmental use cases (engineering, support, etc.)
• Documenting use cases and best practices in creating Agents using the Glean no-code Agent platform
• Presenting demonstrations of work, both in person and via short videos
• Telling the technical story of Glean’s agentic reasoning engine

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in technical marketing, product marketing, product management, or solution engineering within the AI, data, cloud, or search space
• Prompt engineering experience is strongly preferred
• Customer-obsessed mindset with a bias towards customer use cases
• Action-oriented self-starter with a growth mindset
• Passionate about Glean's mission and product
• Deep understanding of how LLMs and GenerativeAI can be used to create tangible value
• Teaching, writing, and enablement skills
• Hands-on experience creating and running demos using AI technologies
• Skilled at simplifying complex technical concepts and creating clear, compelling technical assets
• Comfortable presenting to audiences both small and large
• Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical teams
