Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

Glean is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality of its web application through manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. This role is based in Bangalore, India.Responsibilities include:

• Creating, executing, and maintaining test plans to qualify product releases and features.
• Performing initial Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on bugs using developer tools.
• Reporting bugs and errors using Jira with detailed information.
• Reproducing bugs raised externally.
• Executing extended/edge cases to evolve test plans.
• Collaborating with the development team to keep test plans up to date.
• Contributing to the existing automation framework, triaging, and fixing failing tests.

Requirements include:

• 2+ years of experience as an Automation and Manual Tester.
• Experience testing responsive web pages on different OS platforms and browsers.
• Experience testing RBAC/permission models (a plus).
• Working experience with tools like Jira and Chrome Developer tools.
• Strong knowledge of web-based applications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working in agile teams.
• Comfortable working with Python or Java; exposure to REST APIs (a plus).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in testing mobile applications (a plus).
• BE/BTech/BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
