Job Description
Wellhub, formerly Gympass, is seeking a Backend Software Engineer Specialist to join its Billing team in Brazil. This role involves working on a platform that supports the entire Wellhub business, handling millions of transactions globally. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and payment service providers to optimize checkout conversion rates and account management. The company is currently developing a new architecture and set of systems to maintain consistency across multiple areas and services.
Role Involves:
- Researching and executing strategic projects.
- Implementing solutions with a cross-functional team.
- Developing leadership skills by working with senior engineers.
- Developing engineering skills in scalability, system architecture, and code quality assurance.
- Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining services.
- Building integrations with 3rd-party APIs and tools.
Requirements:
- Solid experience with RESTful APIs.
- Software Architecture knowledge.
- Software quality and test automation mindset.
- Cloud computing (AWS) and Cloud Native (K8s) experience.
- Experience with SQL technology such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or any other relational database.
- Experience with microservices and high-volume distributed systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior experience as a backend engineer.
- Advanced English skills.
