Wellhub is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Mobile Platform team in Brazil. The company is dedicated to connecting employees to various wellness partners through its corporate wellness platform.

The Staff Software Engineer will be responsible for enabling engineers to work more efficiently and improving the developer experience. This involves working on observability, performance, and release management.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development of critical services, building long-term solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve services focusing on performance and scalability.
  • Account for systems reliability, scalability, SLA, and SLO.
  • Support existing systems, enhancing functionality and increasing scale.
  • Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in production.
  • Maintain the project technical vision.
  • Ensure successful deliveries and promote long-term technical health.
  • Ensure high code quality standards.
  • Spread development best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in designing and developing complex modern web applications.
  • Experience with React Native ecosystem.
  • Experience in web/mobile development and accessibility.
  • Experience with Firebase ecosystem.
  • Experience with component-driven libraries/frameworks and Hybrid Native approach.
  • Experience implementing prototypes and using MVP, A/B testing, and feature toggles.
  • Experience with Design System and common UX patterns.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience in Cloud-based architectures (AWS / GCP).
  • Experience developing RESTful/GraphQL web services.
  • Well-developed communication skills.
  • Advanced English skills.
