Job Description
Zscaler is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer to join their Cloud Browser Isolation team. Zscaler is the world’s largest security cloud, accelerates digital transformation so enterprises can be more agile, efficient, resilient, and secure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing automated deployment and upgrade tools, building automation tools to boost developer productivity, and collaborating with QA and Engineering to design infrastructure solutions.
Role involves:
- Developing automated deployment and upgrade tools to streamline customer rollouts.
- Building automation tools to boost developer productivity and promoting DevOps within engineering teams.
- Collaborating with QA and Engineering to design infrastructure solutions aligned with business needs.
- Collaborating with SMEs throughout product development to plan and enhance infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Over 10 years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in leadership roles.
- Proficient in GoLang, Java, or Rust; intermediate in Python and Bash.
- Expertise with backend systems in large-scale service-oriented architectures.
- Skilled in AWS, Azure, or GCP at an intermediate to advanced level.
- Intermediate to advanced level experience with Linux Operating System and CI & Build tools.
- Proficient in config management and orchestration tools like Terraform, Docker, Ansible, Puppet, Salt, or Chef.
- Passion for automation and problem solving.
- Ability to work both with a global team and individually.
