Zscaler, a leading cloud security company, is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer to join their Engineering Team in San Jose, California. This role reports to the Director of Software Engineering and involves qualifying and expanding Zero Trust Branch hardware SKUs.The Principal Software Development Engineer will design and optimize system infrastructure to support high-performance networking and security applications. They will apply their knowledge of Linux kernel internals to evaluate and enhance platform performance and reliability. The role also involves developing and maintaining high-speed data paths and utilizing proficiency in C programming to contribute to Linux kernel development.Responsibilities:

• Qualifying and expanding Zero Trust Branch hardware SKUs
• Design and optimize system infrastructure
• Evaluate and enhance platform performance and reliability
• Develop and maintain high-speed data paths
• Contribute to Linux kernel development

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in qualifying hardware and optimizing system infrastructure
• In-depth knowledge of Linux kernel internals
• Proficiency with high-speed data paths
• Over 10 years of software development and testing experience
• Strong background in system engineering
