Job Description
Zscaler is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join their Technical Publications team. The Senior Technical Writer will translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for technical and non-technical audiences. They will collaborate with subject matter experts from various teams and contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation standards.

Role involves:
  • Translating complex technical information into user-friendly documentation
  • Creating post-sales content and enhancing documentation with visuals
  • Collaborating with SMEs from Engineering, Field Support, Sales, Training, and Product Marketing
  • Leading and mentoring fellow technical writers
  • Supporting documentation project scheduling and management
  • Contributing to the creation and maintenance of standards, style guides, and terminology best practices

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience in technical writing
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field
  • Proven experience in writing REST API documentation
  • Practical knowledge and hands-on experience with Open API Specification (Swagger) and JSON
  • Proficiency in using tools like JIRA and/or Confluence
  • Experience in Agile development environments
  • Background in network and/or cloud security (preferred)
  • Hands-on expertise with HTML5 and CSS with web-based or mobile products (preferred)
