Zscaler is seeking a Principal Development Engineer to join their team. This role involves designing and optimizing system infrastructure for high-performance networking and applications. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams to resolve system issues and improve overall performance. They will apply their expertise in system architecture, scalability, and performance optimization to enhance Zscaler's cloud security platform.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and optimizing system infrastructure for high-performance networking and applications
• Collaborating with teams to resolve system issues and improve performance
• Applying expertise in system architecture, scalability, and performance optimization
• Leveraging knowledge of Linux kernel, disk partitioning, file systems, and networking features
• Developing specification documents, conducting unit tests, and automating processes

Requirements:

• 8+ years of system engineering experience, specializing in designing and optimizing infrastructure for high-performance applications and networks
• Expertise in Linux internals, networking features, data paths (kernel/user space), and file systems
• Skilled in C programming, Linux kernel tools (Git, Make), and agile methodologies
• Familiar with NFV, SDN, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
