New Technology Product Manager (JHB)

Job Description

HyperionDev is seeking a New Technology Product Manager to drive the strategic development and success of its B2B and B2C digital products. This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact product evolution and user experience, guiding products from conception to launch with the highest standards of quality and innovation. The Product Manager will work on generative AI technology and prototypes, identifying new enhancement opportunities, defining business and technical requirements, and partnering with software engineering teams to develop, test, and execute plans.Responsibilities include:

• Leading design and development efforts by conveying a vision to the team.
• Outlining requirements in a product backlog and prioritizing it based on business value.
• Analyzing data to become a subject matter authority in key performance indicators.
• Developing a solid understanding of existing technical implementations and operational processes.
• Establishing strong working relationships with engineering teams, designers, and business partners.
• Planning and implementing data-gathering activities to ensure the product meets customer and business needs.
• Investigating, testing, and delivering new technical solutions.

Requirements include:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an individual contributor product manager.
• Deep understanding of modern product discovery and delivery techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative and constructive relationships at all levels.
• A strong technical background, preferably with hands-on coding experience (Python/Java).
• Solid understanding of the technical architecture of platforms, the role of API integrations, and the utilisation of SaaS tools.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and coordination skills.
• The ability to clearly communicate requirements, balance risk and hold stakeholders accountable to delivery deadlines.
