Senior Software Engineer - Platform

Job Description

Prodigal is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Platform team in Mumbai. This role is pivotal in developing Prodigal’s Intelligence Engine (PIE), a key component in reshaping the future of consumer finance. The ideal candidate will design and architect scalable systems, build robust platforms, and ensure the quality and completeness of the product through various testing capabilities. They will also partner across the engineering team to influence technical direction and mentor junior engineers.Role involves:

• Designing and architecting systems for scale.
• Building robust platforms and applications.
• Conducting code reviews and documentation.
• Troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• Ensuring quality through unit, integration, and regression capabilities.
• Partnering across the engineering team on company-wide initiatives.

Requirements:

• B.Tech./BE/M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in architecting, designing, and coding for high-throughput, distributed data platforms.
• Strong experience with NoSQL & SQL databases, Datawarehouse, Datalakes such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, Postgresql, Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery etc.
• Hands-on experience in writing scalable, secure, and highly available software applications.
• Experience with AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps tools.
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Sentry, CW, Prometheus, ELK etc.
• Strong expertise in troubleshooting complex production issues.
