Vimeo is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Vimeo Create engineering group based in Tel Aviv, Israel. The engineer will be responsible for the backend infrastructure of Vimeo Create products and APIs. He/She will collaborate with engineering teams to craft innovative solutions and maintain scalable platforms.
The role involves:
- Participating in architectural designs and code reviews.
- Implementing new features and refining existing code.
- Optimizing performance and ensuring high system standards.
- Working autonomously on features from start to finish.
- Writing unit and integration tests.
- Enhancing system efficiency.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in backend and API development.
- Proficiency in Python (or similar).
- Extensive knowledge of web infrastructure and databases.
- Experience with AWS/GCP.
- Experience with the Django framework (advantage).
- Proficiency in PHP (advantage).
