Sr. Product & Privacy Counsel

Job Description

Twitch is seeking a Sr. Product & Privacy Counsel to join its legal team. The candidate will advise on legal issues across the company, focusing on privacy, security, and AI/ML. This role involves advising on products, devising policies, working with lawmakers, and partnering with teams to mitigate legal risk.

• Advising on laws and regulations related to privacy, data security, AI/ML, and advertising.
• Reviewing products and features to ensure compliance with legal obligations.
• Drafting and managing consumer disclosures, FAQs, terms of use, and privacy notices.
• Managing strategies for potential disputes, litigation, and regulatory matters.
• Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Privacy, Security, Policy and Customer Trust.
• Collaborating with legal team members to improve processes and provide training.

• J.D. Degree
• Admission to the bar in good standing (or Registered In-House Counsel)
• 5+ years of relevant legal experience in technology-related issues
• Experience advising clients in video, mobile, gaming, e-commerce, or internet services
• Experience with US and international privacy/data protection laws
• Comfort with technology and internet services
