Job Description
Gusto is seeking a Corporate Development & Partnerships Deal Lead to drive growth through M&A and strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have experience in software or financial technology and will be responsible for shaping Gusto's Build/Buy/Partner strategy and leading end-to-end transactions.About Gusto:Gusto is a modern, online people platform that helps small businesses take care of their teams. On top of full-service payroll, Gusto offers health insurance, 401(k)s, expert HR, and team management tools.Role involves:
  • Partnering with product leaders to refine product strategy.
  • Establishing industry relationships for deal sourcing.
  • Driving the deal process with cross-functional teams.
  • Assessing strategic trends and monitoring the competitive landscape.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in corporate development, partnerships, investment banking, VC, or private equity.
  • At least 3 years of experience in corporate development and partnerships at a high-growth software or financial technology company.
  • Ability to run deals end-to-end.
  • Strong product intuition.
  • Outstanding financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
