Job Description
Gusto is seeking a Contingent Workforce Program Manager to build and streamline its internal extended workforce program. This role focuses on compliance, customer service, and vendor management, and is critical to scaling and building for the long term. The Program Manager will be part of the HR Compliance Team and will work closely with various partners across the organization.
Role involves:
- Ensuring adherence with state and federal law in scaling Gusto’s Extended Workforce strategy.
- Guiding hiring managers and vendors to follow processes aligned with company values.
- Managing vendor relationships to ensure the right partners and service levels.
- Coordinating onboarding and offboarding, including classification support.
- Partnering with Gusto's CX organization and external vendors to support seasonal needs.
- Overseeing vendor performance, SLAs, and cost-effectiveness.
- Managing projects such as VMS implementation and compliance training.
Requirements:
- 8-12 years of experience within HR and/or Recruiting.
- At least 5 years of direct program management experience with a focus on contingent workforce program management.
- Strong understanding of classification requirements and contingent workforce laws.
- Thorough understanding of Payroll/Employer of Record, Statement of Work, Staffing, and Independent Contractor operations.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and achieve consensus.
- Keen eye for detail.
