Job Description
Gusto is seeking a Senior Staff Product Designer to join their Payroll Services team. This role involves transforming technical and regulatory complexities into user-friendly experiences for employers. The Senior Staff Product Designer will collaborate with internal teams to improve processes through a service design approach and enhance internal tools used for customer tax account management. They will be a key partner in leading the product development process, from vision to launch.
Role involves:
- Defining a long-term UX vision for the product area.
- Collaborating with cross-functional partners to understand customer problems.
- Building understanding of customer needs through research and data.
- Designing and shipping new and iterative projects.
- Contributing to Gusto’s product design community.
- Championing the design system and platform standards.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of Product Design experience.
- Experience leading design direction across multiple teams.
- Comfortable with complexity in designing guided customer experiences.
- Product acumen to contribute to business and product strategy.
- Technical acumen to understand technical systems and their impact on customer outcomes.
- Builder mindset to ship customer-facing products and services.
- High-quality bar for maintaining design quality and accessibility.
