Senior Associate, Enterprise Compliance

Job Description

Melio is seeking a Senior Associate, Enterprise Compliance to join their team in a hybrid role based in New York City. This role is crucial for establishing a robust governance structure for Melio's future Money Transmitter License (MTL) framework. The Senior Associate will collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with payment regulations and internal policies.Responsibilities:

• Work with the Chief Compliance Officer on the creation of a formal governance structure for Melio’s future MTL framework.
• Determine which committees and subcommittees are required and recommended based on Melio’s business structure and future requirements.
• Create a gap analysis to determine if any policies and procedures are missing or will need enhancements for future MTL’s.
• Partner with the compliance and operations teams to establish a cadence for ongoing review key policies and procedures.
• Work with key cross functional stakeholders to create a process for ongoing review policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in a regulated financial services environment.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to self-direct, form independent judgements, work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly.
• Ability to interact and build relationships with team members and cross-functional partners.
• Strong desire to learn; growth mindset.
