Job Description
Melio is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic team of engineers. The Engineering Manager will own a user-facing product area, make strategic decisions, enhance workflows, and support team members. Melio builds business-to-business (B2B) payment tools so small business owners can spend less time in the back office and more time on their craft.
Role Involves:
- Leading a team of full stack engineers while doing hands-on technical work.
- Setting goals, defining tasks, and managing timelines to execute a roadmap.
- Working closely with Product and Design on new user-facing features.
- Taking an active role in hiring for the team and Melio in general.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of professional experience as a software engineer with frontend and backend development.
- 2+ years experience managing a team of engineers.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with React.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with NodeJS.
- Experience in continuous delivery including automated tests.
- A deep understanding of production systems and the architecture of web products.
- Proactive team player with a desire to impact our engineering team, our product and our customers.
- An eye for UX/UI and details.
- Independent, resourceful and creative.
