Senior Backend Engineer, Platform Engineering

Job Description

Melio is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join its Platform Engineering group. This role involves building the foundations that power Melio’s product and developer experience. The engineer will work on core services and developer experience, defining how services are built and run.

The Senior Backend Engineer will collaborate with R&D teams and the architecture group, influencing engineering practices across the company. They will design and evolve core infrastructure and backend services, guide best practices, and participate in technical discussions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and evolve core infrastructure and backend services.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in backend engineering.
• Strong grasp of system design and architecture.
• Experience in microservices environments.
• Experience managing production-grade, cloud-based systems.
