Job Description
Melio is seeking a Recovery Associate to join their Payment Operations team. This role is crucial in preventing loss, mitigating uncollected funds, and optimizing revenue for the business. The Recovery Associate will work with partnering banks to recoup funds on behalf of users, recover lost funds, and fight both ACH and card disputes. This is a hybrid role based in New York City, requiring 3 days in-office.

Role Involves:
  • Handling recollection for fraud cases and owed funds.
  • Partnering with banking institutions to optimize the recollection process.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to enhance revenue-driving opportunities.
  • Supporting both domestic and international payments.
  • Assisting clients with paying outstanding fees.

Requirements:
  • 2-4+ years of relevant work experience in recovery, collections, or payment operations.
  • Understanding of money flows such as ACH, Domestic and International Wires, and Card Network disputes.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulations of ACH, Domestic and International Wires, and Card Networks.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex workflows.
  • Self-sufficient and able to work independently.
