Payhawk is seeking a People Strategy Manager to bring structure, execution, and data-driven decision-making to its People team. The People Strategy Manager will own OKRs, manage people systems, and drive execution on key people projects. This role is a unique opportunity to make an impact in a high-growth, high-performance environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage People & Talent OKRs, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Oversee and optimize HR & TA systems, driving efficiency and adoption across the company.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional People projects, such as performance reviews, engagement surveys, and HR tech implementations.
  • Improve operational effectiveness by tracking key People metrics and providing insights for data-driven decision-making.
  • Act as the central reporting owner within the People team, ensuring the team and the business have clear visibility into progress, blockers, and opportunities.
  • Work closely with the VP of People to review and maintain the project roadmap in alignment with the needs of the company - identifying and escalating blockers, recommending changes and additions to scope and prioritizing action items.
  • Partner closely with People Business Partners and Talent Acquisitionto drive execution and efficiency.
  • Implement scalable solutions that keep our People team agile while supporting the company’s growth.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in HR project management, People Operations, or a similar role in a fast-growing environment.
  • Strong experience with HR systems, tools, and reporting (e.g., ATS, HRIS, Engagement Platforms).
  • Ability to track, measure, and analyze People metrics, turning insights into action.
  • A structured, execution-driven mindset—you thrive in fast-paced environments and get things done.
  • Experience leading cross-functional HR/People projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across different teams and influence decisions.
  • A passion for culture, people experience, and operational excellence.
