Mr D - Mid-Level Operations Associate

Job Description

Mr D, a division of the Takealot Group, is seeking a Mid-Level Operations Associate to join their team in Cape Town. The role involves contributing to smooth and efficient trade operations across various business verticals within Mr D. The ideal candidate will assist in implementing and refining operational processes to boost trading efficiency on the Mr D platform.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing day-to-day operations.
• Participate in the implementation and refinement of operational processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze operational data to generate insights.
• Help manage and resolve payment transaction issues.
• Assist in the investigation of order discrepancies.
• Support the mentorship and development of junior operations team members.
• Proactively manage operational emergencies and system failures.

Requirements:

• Relevant bachelor’s degree in commerce, engineering, finance, or related field.
• At least 3 years’ of experience in operations, particularly in e-commerce, logistics, supply chain, or a related fast-paced industry.
• Experience in using data analytics to inform operational decisions and improvements.
• Proficiency in analyzing performance metrics.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical ability.
• Enterprising spirit and ability to take ownership of tasks.
• Strong team player.
