Takealot.com, South Africa’s leading online retailer, is seeking a talented Product Manager to join their Supply Chain product and engineering team in Cape Town, focusing on order fulfillment. The company is a dynamic, hyper-growth organization looking for creative and hardworking individuals.This Product Manager will report to the Supply Chain Product Lead and will be responsible for developing and executing the product roadmap for supply chain software projects. They will work cross-functionally with engineering, design, operations, and executive teams to enhance products and improve key performance indicators. The role involves understanding business stakeholder needs, translating them into projects for engineering teams, and defining and tracking relevant metrics.Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute product roadmaps for supply chain software projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring about product enhancements.
  • Translate business stakeholder needs into projects for engineering teams.
  • Define and track metrics to inform decisions on features and functionality.
  • Establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance.
  • Drive project schedules and lead cross-functional development teams from design through release.
  • Monitor metrics and dashboards to ensure products are performing up to standard.
  • Manage direct reports and mentor them in their career development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Product Management experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Product Development environment.
  • Proficiency in basic SQL querying and coding.
  • Experience in a supply chain or logistics environment is an advantage.
