Job Description
Tenable is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to join their Digital Solutions team. The ServiceNow Developer will report to the Director of Service Management. He will be responsible for developing, configuring, and maintaining the ServiceNow platform, ensuring seamless support for employees and contractors. This role is crucial in advancing ITSM, Discovery, CMDB/CSDM, ITOM, complex integrations, Employee Center, and Now Assist. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions, streamline business processes through automation, and enhance the overall user experience.
Role Involves:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows.
- Implementing ITSM best practices and enhancing Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management processes.
- Developing, configuring, and optimizing Employee Center and Now Assist.
- Developing and managing integrations between ServiceNow and third-party applications.
- Configuring Discovery and CMDB, ensuring accurate data collection and relationship mapping.
- Leveraging Flow Designer, Orchestration, and Automation to streamline business processes.
- Writing and maintaining scripts using JavaScript, GlideScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, and Client Scripts.
- Enhancing system performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing workflows.
- Staying current with ServiceNow upgrades, ensuring platform stability and security.
- Developing and implementing automated and manual testing strategies.
- Planning, coordinating, and executing ServiceNow upgrades and patching.
- Maintaining the Service Catalog, including catalog items, order guides, and approval workflows.
- Implementing security and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Creating reports, dashboards, and performance analytics.
- Engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into ServiceNow solutions.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration.
- Strong hands-on expertise in ITSM, Discovery, and Integrations.
- Experience working with ServiceNow Employee Center and Universal Requests.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, GlideScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, and API integrations.
- Hands-on experience with CMDB and Discovery probes & sensors.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow data model, ACLs, and access control.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD) is a plus.
- Familiarity with ITIL, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
